Flash-2001
It is a system designed for gathering and presenting the agency wires. It registers the press agency wires and supports the newsroom activities enabling the data search among the recorded wires according to assorted criteria. It allows creating own texts based on agency wires information and storing wires and texts or their excerpts in the quick access archive. The system is a more developed version of Flash-Pro and is based on SQL databases (InterBase, FireBird or Oracle).
This system can be applied not only in the newsrooms, but also everywhere else, where the press agencies' news bulletins are use e.g. in the state agencies.
Main functionality of the Flash-2001system enables:

expanded help. |
The system is widely parameterized. It is possible to adjust the look of the screen and the printouts, the set of the folders in use, the archives, and other elements of the system according to the users' requirements. These parameters can be set in various ways for different groups of users. It allows organizing the information flow inside the newsroom with the help of Flash-2001.
The Flash-2001 system cooperates with FlashWWW which enables to browse through the wires using an Internet browser.
The Flash-2001system can operate in one or multiple workstations. It works on the Windows 9x/NT/2000/XP family of operating systems.
The wire base was setup on the SQL InterBase 6.0, FireBird or Oracle (from the 8.1 version upwards) database. The cooperation with other databases will be introduced if such need arises.
The wires are received through the module communication server, which takes into account various media through which the data is sent (RS-232 of a computer, multi-port cards, disc folders, the Internet; there's possibility of connecting additional modules if needed). Individual modules can reside in one or multiple computers connected to the net (e.g. according to the location of the physical source of data).
