Flash-Pro
It is a system designed for recording the agency wires, supporting the work of a newsroom by enabling the search through the registered information wires according to the various criteria, writing personalized texts based on information derived from the agency wires, storing the wires or their excerpts in a quick access archive and drawing up radio news bulletins.

The system is applicable not only in the media newsrooms, but also everywhere else, where the press agencies' news bulletins are in use e.g. in the state agencies.

The Flash-Pro system operates simultaneously in different workstations using the Novell NetWare. The users can run Flash-Pro on the Windows 3.x/9x/NT/2000/XP operating systems or DOS. The workstation which is recording the incoming wires runs on DOS.

Features of the system:

	Wire Base - browsing and searching for the wires according to various criteria,
	"Rolls" - monitoring the flow of the incoming wires in the shape of a sequential "roll",
	Word Processor - with the actual display of the reading time of the texts which are being edited,
	News - the maintenance of the news folders used for classifying and organizing the flow of current information,
	Text archives - storing the texts with a possibility of searching through them according to various criteria,
	Editions - creating and filing the editions of daily radio news with the balance of "on the air" time.

The Flash-Pro system system contains a developed macro-instruction mechanism which enables the automatization of repetitious activities and preparation of the specifications of TV news programming theme in the format required by the Runner system.

The system is widely parameterized. The parameters stored in the INI files enable to adapt the system to the needs of a newsroom. It is possible to customize the look of the screen and printouts, folders in use, the archives and other elements of the system. These parameters can be set individually for different groups of users. This enables to organize the entire information flow inside the newsroom with help of the Flash-Pro system.

The Flash-Pro system can receive and handle dispatches from different agencies such as AFP, AP, APTN, AP-Dow Jones, DPA, TASS, KAI, PAP, REUTERS, WTN and others. The list of agencies can be increased depending on the users' needs.
